Gregg Marc Ury studied painting and photography before becoming a clinical psychologist.

13 years ago, Ury returned to his pursuit of art, studying with Greg Follender and Peter Bonner at The Art Students League of New York, and Donald Elder, Meredith Rosier, Kate McGloughlin and Christie Scheele at Woodstock School of Art. He has shown his work at Woodstock Artist Association Museum, The Woodstock School of Art, The Woodstock Byrdcliffe Guild, and the Dobbs Ferry Library.

Ury explores consciousness and spirituality through abstract, impressionistic compositions in various media. Interested in understanding the intersubjective relationship between creator and viewer, Ury’s work explores how the creative process influences mood and perspective.
